I received my Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies from UC Riverside in 2012 and my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, in 2021. I have experience working in hospitals/clinics, early childhood education, foster care, and non-profit/community organizations. I have enjoyed using my bilingual skills, speaking Spanish and English, to support clients. I have experience working with individuals, children and adolescents, families, and older adults.
My experience includes working with individuals experiencing challenges with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, self-esteem, grief, self-identity, and life transitions/adjustments. I approach therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Mindfulness. One of my goals as a therapist is to provide a safe and welcoming space to explore, empower, and incorporate tools like journaling, mindfulness, breathwork, and reading materials in our sessions. I also enjoy using affirmation cards to start a conversation or provide a positive message if and when needed.
Everyone has a story to tell. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey towards healing and growth.
