How To Relax Before Bedtime

Have you ever had a difficult time trying to relax before bedtime? Do you bring work issues home with you and consistently think about them? Are you having a hard time just find the time and space to relax? Have you ever thought what you need to complete the next day and when you get home? Well if you have, I have some tips that may be helpful for you to unwind and relax before bedtime.
Find time for yourself to just unwind and relax. Leave work at work so that you can begin to enjoy your alone time at home whether by yourself or with family. The best way to relax your body and start the process to unwind is to find moments to disconnect. You can learn how to disconnect with listening to soft calming music whether this is jazz, classical music, soft contemporary art and anything that may be soothing for you. Read your favorite book to help you unwind and to relax. Here are a few light reads before bedtime. The Comfort Book Where the Forest Meets the Stars
Listen to your favorite podcast or watch your favorite television show. When watching television make sure to limit the time to at least 30 mins. Podcast
Take a nice calming bath with epsom salt and use relaxing oil such as lavender oil or chamomile oil to help prepare your body to be in a calmer state. Here are some good things to try for your bath routine. Dr. Teals
Avoid heavy meals before bedtime. Eat something light before you go to bed such as fruits or drink water. Snacks Before Bedtime

Write down your worries on paper and put them away in a jar once you are done to have control over your thoughts and fears.
Creating a sleep routine will take time, effort and also patience. It may be hard at times to take a step back and do something for yourself but just remember to keep trying and to never give up. If you give to others, what are you going to give to yourself. Learn how to put yourself first. Keep trying until you find the best routine for you that will help you unwind at night.
